Gen VII introduced a new mechanic that allows wild Pokémon to "call for help," potentially summoning an ally to join it in battle. The table below summarizes how frequently different Pokémon call for help, and are answered, for both SuMo and USUM. Note that no Pokémon's SOS rate changed between the two versions; USUM simply added some Pokémon that couldn't previously call for help.

Any Pokémon that does not appear in this table can't call for help at all.

The Call Rate is a number the game uses to determine how often a Pokémon will call for help, and how often its call will be answered. A higher number means more frequent calls. The Success Rate refers to the chance that a Pokémon will call on a given turn and have that call answered. Thus, it's the percent chance of a Pokémon actually showing up to continue an SOS call chain on a given turn. The Base Success Rate is the success rate when no modifiers are applied (no Adrenaline Orb used, calling Pokémon is at full health, etc.), and the Max Success Rate is the highest possible chance of a Pokémon arriving to continue the chain.
